L.A. City Furloughs
Message:
I.B.E.W. in conjunction with the Coalition of City Unions, has filed grievances
with the City, addressing the City implemented furloughs. To the best
of our knowledge only the Department of Transportation and General Services have
implemented the furlough plan.
Please let us know
immediately, if you hear or
know of, any other department(s), with IBEW represented employees, that have
implemented the furlough plan so IBEW may file grievances there.
As a reminder, since this is a group grievance, I.B.E.W. will need an individual
grievance waiver form from every employee impacted by the furlough plan.
We will email and have the waiver form available on the Civil Service website,
as soon as the form becomes available.
